Engineering

Expert engineering services utilizing innovative and professional design systems and software. All fabrication is completed within controlled and repeatable manufacturing processes with an integrated quality plan.

Design and Build

We design components and systems beginning with customer concepts and specifications. Our expert design capabilities and commitment to customer service ensure your complete satisfaction through the fabrication, assembly and installation

Flame Cutting/Plasma

Using our multiple-head flame cutting table, we can cut any shape with amazing precision, regardless of design, from a wide range of steel plate thickness.

Forming and Rolling

Our 500-ton press brake can form a variety of shapes from steel plates. In addition to straight bends, cylinder segments can be formed to close tolerance.

Plate rolling to correct specifications is easily handled by our rolls. Ken-Weld has the capacity to handle heavy and thinner plate for the official forming of cylindrical sections, bars and angles.

Stress Relief

We operate a large furnace for stress relieving of castings and weldments. This 22’x12’x12’ furnace can reach a max temperature 1350ª F.

Our facility offers 24-hour turn around time for the treatment of your parts. Critical furnace cycles for different materials or unusual thicknesses can be accommodated.

Assembly and Welding

Ken-Weld set-up and welding professionals are true craftsman. They take pride in their work, and they are the key to Ken-Weld quality. Their expertise and knowledge in metal fabrication is the backbone of our reputation.

Ken-Weld has the equipment to handle a wide range of fabrications from simple to complex.

The capacities of our overhead cranes, welding positioners, turning rolls, and welding stations are suited to both small and large weldments in a wide range of materials. Our capabilities include fabrications with aluminum, stainless steel, inconel, and high alloys.

Our welders are certified to A.S.M.E. Section IX, MIL STD 248 and AWS D1.1 and D14.6 requirements.
Welding processes include FCAN, GTAW, GMAW, SMAW, SAW, and combinations together with NDE, Visual, LPT, MT, and RAD.

Grit Blasting and Painting

Ken-Weld has a fully enclosed 16’ x 18’ x 28’ grit blast room on premise. This enables us to grit blast clean weldments, castings, and fabrications post heat treat or for paint preparation.

Our paint facilities along with or grit blast room allow us to clean, prime, and finish paint fabrications and ship them out in ready for service condition.

Refurbish, Repair, Rebuild

With our in house engineering company and vast welding and fabrication experience KEN-WELD can refurbish, repair, or rebuild any vessels or fabrications you currently have. We can help keep your fabrication or code vessel in service longer or back in service quickly. Let us take your used fabrication and refurbish it to like new condition faster and less expensively than replacing new.

For ASME code fabrications in addition to possessing a “U” stamp for fabricating new vessels and parts, KEN-WELD also has an “R” stamp for repairing vessels.

Accidents happen and when they happen to your ASME code vessel KEN-WELD can repair or rebuild your vessel to original condition or with modifications to prevent the problem from reoccurring. Our expertise and close working relationship with our Authorized Inspector allows us to quickly inspect your damaged vessel, develop, get approved, and implement a repair procedure in a timely manner. We get your vessel back in service fast to minimize downtime and interruption to your business.
